I just competed in my first jujitsu tournament?

ok i did gi and no gi but in gi i went for a single leg he tripped i tripped we awkwardly hit the ground and i landed on the bottom he was in my guard i didn%26#039;t realize he got 2 Pt%26#039;s for a take down but he laid on me and stalled so i couldn%26#039;t move what could i have done to get points ???|||electric chair sweep or any of the other plethora of half guard sweeps. you could have shrimped out gotten to guard and threw up a submission attempt. I did not see all of the match so I do not know what you did do and did not do. you could have uder hooked and tried to stand back up or under hooked and tried to take the back. its hard to tell. but what you can do is keep working and get him next time|||from what i remember

Sweep : 2 points

Reversal : 2 points

There%26#039;s like a billion ways how to do the things above. Before you jump into this %26quot;eddie bravo%26quot; system (of which i occasionally use) learn some of the basic sweeps that teach you the fundamentals and physics of a sweep, such as the scissor or bump sweep.

My favorite is putting the guy into an omoplata and forcing him to roll to his back. As he rolls, take advantage of it and immediately control him in side mount.|||From the guard you can go for a sweep and reverse to a dominate position. Also from the guard you can go for a Kimura/Armbar/Triangle.
